The Dartmouth Conference in 1956 is considered the birthplace of AI, where the term "artificial intelligence" was borned. Programs like Logic Theorist and General Problem Solver demonstrated AI's potential in solving mathematical and logical problems.AI WinterThe 1970s and 1980s brought challenges for AI research, known as the "AI winter", owing to shortage of computing power and unrealistic expectations.
