<p>Hin is a graduate of the BSc Chemical Technology program at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). In the early 2010s, as mobile application development was rapidly advancing, Hin, an avid video game lover, became increasingly interested in the technology field. This led him to delve deep into mobile development.</p><p>Describing Hin as an independent leader and a fast learner would be fitting. Prior to joining GreenTomato (GT), he gained two years of experience working at a startup company, where he immersed himself in Android Development. He found it fascinating to stay updated with the latest trends, while also deriving satisfaction from solving diverse problems. Particularly, he enjoyed the process of creating proof of concept (POC) solutions, leveraging the advancements in technology.</p><p>Transitioning from a beginner to a proficient team player is no easy feat, especially when it comes to maintaining the quality of work. However, Hin wholeheartedly embraces challenges. Being part of the GTR Team, he feels grateful for the support and effort contributed by Anson and Marco from the DevOps Team. Hin reinforces that their dedication played a vital role in the team's success, as they secured 4th place in the competition! This achievement stands as a testament to the power of teamwork. Hin expresses his hope for more exciting opportunities like this to be offered to the GTers in the days to come.</p><h3>Designing a Horse Racing Game for the Christmas Market</h3><p><img src="https://gt-app-cms.gtomato.com/uploads/Top_Happiest_03_5ed16a5840.jpeg?updated_at=2023-08-16T07:19:48.578Z"></p><p>As a video game enthusiast, Hin was thrilled when he noticed that his working team had plans to set up a booth at the Christmas Market last year. With the goal of designing an interactive game in the minimum amount of time, he took it upon himself to create "Horse Race" using a game engine. Dedicating 1 to 2 weeks of time, the team released the final product: a horse racing game that required players to move their bodies while playing. The appealing game design captivated colleagues and attracted many participants who actively joined in the horse racing experience created by Hin and Wingy's Team.</p><h3>Open Space for Tech Lovers</h3><p>In Hin's perspective, GT is an open space that embraces and encourages tech enthusiasts. Similar to a discussion forum, the team leaders are always eager to offer suggestions and recommendations when new ideas arise. They have a genuine passion for embracing fresh concepts and taking on challenges. Currently, the focus is on exploring how AI technologies can be leveraged to achieve breakthroughs.</p><p>Credit is due to Sunny, Stephen, Barry, and May, whose ideas consistently shine and earn respect from the management team. Regardless of whether these ideas are successfully achieved, the management team is always supportive, providing guidance and direction to help expand upon these ideas or find alternative paths to achieve goals.</p><p>Apart from actively participating in the ideation stage, Hin also serves as a mentor, responsible for guiding and supporting his mentees. He provides valuable advice and suggestions to help them navigate their way towards achieving targets. Together as one team, Hin’s wishes to develop something unconventional with his teammates. He will try his best to create things that are legendary with lasting impacts.</p>

Hin is a Systems Analyst with 9+ years of experience in the technical field, including 3+ years of experience in leading mobile development teams. He is skilled in the Android Framework and has a foundational knowledge of the iOS Framework. Hin has proven to be a sophisticated and trustworthy team player, demonstrating expertise in investigating game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, as well as exploring VR/AR technologies.
