START THE ENGINE to see the next big Audi
The Brief
Client wanted to run some marketing within Hotmob’s network to promote its upcoming launch party to iPhone users. GreenTomato was asked to create that eye-catching banner ad.
The Solution
We strongly felt that a static banner doesn’t match up to the all-powerful A1 and to be consistent with the dynamic style of other promotional channels, we proposed that an interactive html5 ad should be created for the campaign.
The Execution
The first thing we needed to address was an astounding UI, something flossy to entice interactions from the audience to have a glimpse of the groovy A1. Since the html5 ad is targeted to iPhone users, what’s a better way to arouse attention by the all-too-familiar “slide” bar? Hence the birth of an iconic “start the engine” action bar.
To cross-promote A1′s different marketing channels, we’ve used a 3-D wheel to showcase the launch party, its website, Facebook fans page, and A1 iPhone app.
Instead of simply listing out the event details, we’ve designed a special form for users to fill in so the organizer can contact interested parties directly. We certainly don’t want a boring form in a funky app so we paid special attention to the details and have some playful icons as a treat to the users.
